Sprenger Sensogan KK Ultra 3-Ring Gag Bit
The Sprenger KK Ultra 3-Ring Gag is the ideal choice for strong, jumping horses allowing for enhanced communication whilst improving control; this bit is extremely popular in the jumping ring and cross country for improving directional control.
The Sprenger KK Ultra 3-Ring Gag provides both poll and elevating aciton; this bit features a central lozenge also known as a bean. This central lozenge is set at 45 degrees forward which means that it sits comfortably and evenly on the tongue. As the bean sits evenly on the centre of the tongue, once contact is taken up, the bean takes advantage of the sensitivity of the tongue and applies pressure allowing for enhanced communication. The unique design prevents upper palate interference and ensures that the tongue does not become pinched or squeezed. Unlike a traditional bubble bit or continental gag, the 3-Ring Gag offers lesser poll pressure due to the shorter length cheek of the bit. The 3-Ring Gag should be ridden with two reins for rein clarity. If the rein is attached to the lower ring, the action is stronger.
The Sprenger KK Ultra lozenge takes advantage of the sensitivity of the tongue ensuring there is no risk of pinching. The mouthpiece is anatomically to follow the contours of the horses tongue and is designed to help promote consistency and rein aid clarity. Combined with the three ring cheek, this bit ensures that the feel in the mouth remains soft whilst providing the rider with increased pressure and directional control making it ideal for stronger horses.
