Shires Small Ring Curved Mouth Eggbutt Snaffle

The Shires Small Ring Curved Mouth Eggbutt Snaffle features small bit rings which look more in proportion against horses and ponies with smaller heads. This single jointed snaffle bit has a thin, 12mm curved mouthpiece - this can make the action of this bit more severe but the curved shape allows for more room in the horse's mouth for those with smaller mouths or larger tongues. The single jointed mouthpiece gives a "nutcracker" action, applying pressure to the bars and tongue which gives more lateral control; the eggbutt cheeks are fixed which stabilises the mouthpiece and can encourage a more uncertain horse to accept the contact.
