Carr & Day & Martin Itchgard

Itchgard from Carr & Day & Martin is a soothing, non-greasy lotion formulated to calm and cool irritated skin on horses troubled with itching. It's an easy-to-use topical treatment which helps to prevent rubbing or general skin irritation caused by insect bites by calming the skin and mainting the skin integrity. Itchgard also aids the reduction of rubbing to the mane and tail areas by conditioning and protecting the hair and skin. It's derived from plant extracts and is ideal for sensitive skin. Key ingredients include lemongrass, marigold, geranium and menthol oils.

Please note: Itchgard is not designed to treat Sweet Itch, though it might help to lessen some of the symptoms.

Application

Always shake well before use. Apply Itchgard to the affected areas and massage into the skin thoroughly. Use Itchgard for at least three weeks on a daily basis, reducing down to once per week if still required.
